Google has announced that 2.5 billion Gmail accounts have had their account information compromised.
However, Passwords were not compromised.
After gaining access to Google’s Salesforce database systems, information such as customer and company names was accessed.
These accounts are now targets for phishing attacks and phone calls from scammers pretending to be from Google.
Accounts show up as a notification of an expired password or updating account information.
Please be aware of any requests for changes to your Gmail account by email or phone call from someone claiming to be from Google.
